Images intended for printing are preferred to be 300 DPI (dots per inch) or greater because this resolution provides the level of detail necessary for sharp, high-quality prints. DPI refers to how many individual dots of ink a printer places within one inch of an image; the more dots used, the finer the detail and smoother the overall appearance. At 300 DPI, images contain enough pixel data to reproduce clean lines, crisp text, and smooth gradients without appearing blurry or pixelated when printed at their intended size. Lower resolutions, such as 72 DPI, which is common for screens, may look acceptable on digital displays but often appear soft, blurry, or jagged when printed. Using images at 300 DPI or higher helps ensure that photographs, graphics, and designs maintain professional clarity and detail in most commercial printing processes. However, the final print quality ultimately depends on the resolution and quality of the images provided by the customer, and therefore we cannot guarantee print results when files submitted are below the recommended 300 DPI or are otherwise low-resolution.
